40 Garlic Chicken - TastyPlanner.com

A delicious dish of 40 garlic cloves and a 8-piece chicken. Makes excellent leftovers. Serve with rice.
Ingredients
3 T olive oil
1 whole eight-piece chicken cutup, consisting of breasts, thighs, wings, and drumsticks
40 whole garlic cloves, peeled
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup chicken broth
salt and pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Heat large, oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add 3 T olive oil to pan.
3. Cover chicken with plenty of salt and pepper (to taste).
4. Add chicken to hot pan. Brown thoroughly on both sides until skin is crispy (about 16-20 minutes).
5. Add 40 garlic cloves to the pan. Add 1/2 cup olive oil and chicken broth.
6. Immediately, put the pan in the oven. Cook for up to 90 minutes. The chicken will be cooked through long before this, so you can take it out sooner if you like.
7. Serve with rice and a vegetable.

Add FRESH Thyme and Rosemary to make this dish the best ever! Just throw as much as you want, keep on the vine.
Also, buy some italian bread. Cut, Bake, then spread the garlic on the toast. Best Garlic Bread EVER.
I would leave the Chicken Broth out.
