Pa'corn Seed - TastyPlanner.com

Nutritional yeast adds protein and vitamins to this popular movie-time snack (not to mention it makes it taste cheesy good).
As for the name, In 1987, when I was two, I watched the original TV series Beauty and the Beast. When my mom would make popcorn for me and my siblings, she would always add yeast as a flavoring and as a vitamin enriched topping for our snack. I was so scared by the term “yeast” (equating it to the scary “beast” from the TV) that I insisted we call it something else. That was the day that my family and I all began calling it Pa’corn Seed. Now even my boyfriend does!
Ingredients
1 bag of microwave popcorn
1 tbsp of butter, melted (or no calorie butter spray)
4 tbsp Nutritional Yeast (or to taste)
Popcorn salt to taste
Instructions
Microwave popcorn according to directions (or for about 1 min 40 seconds, depending on microwave). Remove popcorn and pour into a bowl. Pour melted butter over popcorn. Sprinkle nutritional yeast over corn and toss lightly. Salt to taste.
Note: Nutritional yeast can be found at some grocery stores, and almost all nutritional or health food stores. It can be purchased in bulk or in a easy to use shaker.
