Bacon Banded Scallops - TastyPlanner.com

Different take on the traditional bacon wrapped scallops.

Ingredients
10 slices on bacon
20 large sea scallops
1 cup whipping cream (heavy cream)
2 tablespoons dijon mustard
2 tablespoons maple syrup
toothpicks
Instructions
pre heat oven to 350. Arrange bacon on baking sheet and bake until golden (approx. 8 minutes). Cut each slice in half. drain and cool.
Wrap each slice of bacon around a scallop. Secure with toothpick. Preheat oven to 400. Place scallops on baking sheet and bake until cooked through (8-10 minutes).
Meanwhile, boil cream in heavy skillet until reduced to 3/4 cup (approx. 3 minutes). Add mustard and syrup and boil until sauce has a thick consistency (approx. 3 minutes). Place sauce on platter. Arrange scallops on sauce. Keep warm.
