Basic Buffalo Sauce - TastyPlanner.com
This particular recipe is all over the web, so there is no one original source, but it touts itself as being a copycat Hooter’s recipe. Still though, it is REALLY good and is great as a dip for chicken strips, shrimp or cook with wings. It’s just yummyful!
1/2 c. (4 oz.) butter (unsalted), NOT margarine
1/2 c. Frank's red hot sauce (OR Louisiana hot sauce if Frank's in unavailable)
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Cayenne pepper to taste, optional
In small saucepan, melt butter.
Whisk in remaining ingredients over medium heat.
Add cayenne pepper if you want to turn up the spicy heat even more.
Makes about 1 cup.
