Beer Batter Deep Fried Catfish - TastyPlanner.com

This batter works great with any type of fish. It’s light and crunchy and especially good with fresh catfish. Serve with a side of fries and tartar sauce for dipping.

Ingredients
2 catfish fillets, cut up into chunks
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
2 cups flour
1 bottle of beer
Instructions
Preheat deep oil fryer.
Get a zip lock bag and combine flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Close the bag and shake it up to distribute all the ingredients evenly. Pour the bottle of beer into a large bowl. Dip the chunks of catfish into the beer and then put it into the zip lock bag. When all of the catfish chunks have been added shake the bag well. Fry the catfish in the deep oil fryer until golden brown. Drain the catfish on a paper towel and sprinkle with sea salt.
