All natural low GI breakfast
Ingredients
5 cups fresh or frozen berries, such as raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and sliced strawberries
1 large apple, cored and chopped
2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons agave nectar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Topping:
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped pecans, almonds or walnuts
1/4 cup sucanat
1/4 cup extra virgin coconut oil, melted
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
1. In 8-inch square baking dish, combine berries and apple. In bowl, combine flour, sucanat and cinnamon. Sprinkle over fruit and toss gently.
2. Topping: In bowl, combine ingredients. Sprinkle over fruit mixture. Bake in 350 degree fahrenheit oven for about 30 minutes or until fruit is tender and top is golden.
