Rich beef & tomato pasta sauce with red wine and herbs.
Ingredients
500 gm high quality beef mince
2 tins diced tomato
1 large brown onion
1 cup Beef Stock
2 tsp minced
fresh oregano & thyme
red wine
salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
Brown the beef mince, and set aside. In the pan where the beef was browned, saute the onion until translucent. Add garlic, and cook, stirring, until fragrant.
Add back the beef. Add tinned tomato, beef stock, and wine to taste. Add a pinch of salt.
Prepare the herbs by washing and patting dry. Finely chop, and then stir through the sauce. Put the lid on the pan and allow to simmer on low for at least one hour.
Near serving, take the lid off and reduce over a high heat until quite reduced. Serve over pasta.
