Ingredients
3 Cloves Garlic
1 Shallot
black pepper
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 cups soy milk
1 Lemon (Zest)
Breadcrumbs
1 block firm tofu
2 tbsp Flat leaf parsley
Egg Replacer
Chili Flake
Chives (optional)
Instructions
Sauce:
Heat oil in a pot. Medium-low heat, not high.
Put in garlic and shallot.
Let cook until shallot is translucent. Do not burn garlic.
Sprinkle in flour and mix in. Let cook for a minute.
Add soy milk, black pepper, lemon zest and nutmeg.
Whisk the soy milk in so it doesn’t get lumpy.
Put lid on pot. Keep over low heat and let it thicken.
Tofu:
Mix 2 cups of breadcrumbs in a bowl with 1 tsp of salt and plenty of black pepper.
Mix in finely chopped parsley, 1 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 tsp chili flake.
Mix up 3tbsp egg replacer and 1 cup water in separate bowl.
Fill another bowl with flour.
1/4 inch of oil in pan. Heat over medium heat
Chop tofu.
Dip each piece in flour, egg mixture, bread crumbs. Add to pan.
