Bubble Tea - TastyPlanner.com
Chef: Who's ya sista?
This is very much a recipe that requires you to mix it to your own taste. Below are the directions for the Tapioca Pearls and a simple syrup but the rest is pretty much up to you as far as how much you put in etc. This is a fun drink though and great for parties….have fun!!
P.S. you will need to find bubble tea straws to serve this with. They have to be big enough to suck up the tapioca pearls. These are readily available online.
Ingredients
Tapioca Pearls:
1 cup tapioca pearls
8 cups water
Sugar syrup:
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups water

non dairy creamer
Instructions
Tapioca Pearls:
The ratio should be at least 7:1, water to tapioca pearls.
Boil water in a large pot. Add in the tapioca pearls to the boiling water. The tapioca pearls should float in the water. Boil for about 25 minutes, depending on the tapioca pearl, with the cover on. Turn the heat off and let the tapioca sit int he water for 25 minutes. Rinse the cooked pearls in warm water ad drain out the water. Cover with sugar syrup and serve.
Sugar Syrup:
Mix sugar and water in a large pot. Cook at medium to high heat. Once the mixture boils remove from stove immediately.
Let cool and serve. (Any excess can be refrigerated)
Mixing it all together:
Brew your tea to desired strength and let chill. If you used loose leaf then strain leaves. In a glass add as many Tapioca pearls as you want. Then pour some sugar syrup over them. Add tea and cream and stir. Insert your special Bubble Tea straw and enjoy!!
