Tender pork simmered in burgundy wine.
Recipe Source: allrecipes.com
Ingredients
2 pounds pork tenderloin
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 packet onion soup mix
2 cups red wine
1 (.75 ounce) packet dry brown gravy mix
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place pork in a 9×13 inch baking dish, and sprinkle meat with pepper and onion soup mix then pour wine over all.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until internal tempurature hits 160 (carry over heat will finish it).
When done baking, remove meat from baking dish, place on a serving platter and cover with heavy foil. Pour gravy mix into baking dish with wine and cooking juices, and stir until thickened. (You may need to bring it to a boil on the stove.) Slice meat, and cover with the gravy.
Note: This also works really well with beef in a slow cooker. I like to put mushrooms in it if I’m doing a beef roast. Increas cooking time to 3-6 hours if you use a slow cooker.
