A Bengali style mild chicken curry.

Ingredients
1 kg chicken pieces (skinned)
1 big onion
3 cm fresh ginger grated
2-3 cloves of garlic crushed
1 - 2 fresh chilli (do not cut up for milder taste or leave out all together)
Turmeric
cumin powder
2 tb natural yoghurt
1 tomato grated
salt and pepper
whole cloves
cardamon pods
cinnamon sticks
bay leaves
2 tbs oil
Instructions
Heat oil in wok. Add cinnamon, cloves, cardamon, bay leaves, and onion. Cook until onion transparent.
Add ginger and garlic, cook for 1 minute.
Add rest of spices and cook for a further minute.
Add grated tomato and/or yoghurt.
Add chicken pieces and cook until the colour changes to white.
Add water to half cover ingredients and cook covered for a further half hour.
