Chicken & Sausage Pesto - TastyPlanner.com

Flavorful chicken dish with sausage, peppers, pesto served over pasta. Kick it up to your spice tolerance with additional peppers.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken breasts cut into strips
1/2 lb. farfelle pasta
3/4 cup garlic pesto
3 or 4 turkey sausages cut into pieces
4 scallions chopped
1 long green chili pepper
3 or 4 jalapenos
3/4 cup whipping cream
Instructions
Cook pasta normally. chop up all ingredients. In a LARGE skillet, cook sausage until lightly browned. Toss in chicken and cook until golden. Add all peppers and scallions. Cook for 4 minutes. Add pesto and cream. Let simmer 5 additional minutes. Remove from heat and toss with pasta.

I made a variation on this recipe earlier this week and we loved it. I’m a wus so I cut out the peppers and used sweet italian turkey sausage instead of spicy. It was still delicious.
Great recipe – I did change it a bit myself. Didn’t have any jalapeno peppers, so I added about a teaspoon of crushed red peppers and some Sriracha Chili sauce. I also left out the chicken. AND, went with penne pasta (like the picture) instead of Farfalle, like in the recipe. GREAT recipe though. So easy.
Great Recipe… I’ve made it many times. I’ve added bell peppers and onions and added twice the amount of turkey sausage.
This was delicious. I used venison sausage & less peppers & it was still good. I think I will go with italian sausage next time. Thanks. for this recipe. :)
i made this without the peppers and used basil pesto instead. it was awesome!!!
I followed as Jennifer peas suggested with the Sriracha chili sauce and it turned out great!
