Chocolate Cointreau Cake - TastyPlanner.com

A dense rich cake. Sort of more like a brownie or slice. The Cointreau is optional (I like to add a little extra).

Ingredients
125 g unsalted butter
1 cup castor sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
3 eggs (lightly beaten)
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup plain flour (sifted)
200g cooking chocolate (chopped)
1/2 cup sultanas
2 tb Cointreau
Instructions
Soak sultanas in Cointreau overnight.
Combine dry ingredients (sugar, cocoa, salt and flour).
Melt butter over low heat before removing and mixing with dry ingredients and eggs.
Add vanilla, chocolate, sultanas, and Cointreau.
Pour into a greased or lined cake tin and cook in a pre heated oven for 40 minutes at 180oC.
When cool, top with a little sifted cocoa.
