Chocolate Refrigerator Dessert (no nuts) - TastyPlanner.com

Commonly refered to as “Four Layer Dessert” or “Better than Robert Redford”, this has become a staple in my family. With a nut adversion and now a nut allergy, this recipe is nut-less.
Ingredients
1 1/2 stick of butter
1 1/2 cup flour
1 8 oz. cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1 large cool whip
1 large package of instant chocolate pudding
1 large package of instant vanilla pudding
4 cups milk
Hershey's milk chocolate candy bar (optional)
Instructions
Layer 1
1. Mix butter and flour.
2. Spread in 9×13 pan.
3. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool
Layer 2
4. Beat cream cheese (room temperature) and powdered sugar.
5. Fold in 1 cup of the Cool Whip.
6. Spread over Layer 1.
Layer 3
7. Mix milk with both packages of pudding until thick. Mix quickly to avoid lumps.
(You can use any flavor of pudding or limit it to one package.)
8. Spread over Layer 2.
Layer 4
9. Spread remaining Cool Whip over Layer 3.
10. Grate candy bar over Cool Whip, if desired.
