Fun twist on a holiday cake – has peppermint candy topping. The longer you let it sit, the more the peppermint seeps into the cake — if your family can!

Ingredients
yellow cake mix
Frosting
peppermint candy - easy to bust
peppermint flavoring (optional)
Instructions
Follow cake mix instructions – can add peppermint flavoring if desired. Frost as normal.
Using baggies and sledge hammer, bust up peppermint candy into fine dust/small pieces. Sprinkle liberally on top of cake.
Cover and store. Longer it sits, the more the peppermint dissolves into cake!
