Ingredients
2T. Butter or evoo
1/2 c. chopped onion
3 whole cloves
2-3 cinnamon sticks (I use ground cinnamon when I'm out of sticks but its truly better with sticks)
2-3 bay leaves
1/4t. ground saffron or tumeric
1/2 t. salt
1 c rice
2 c. coconut milk
1 can garbanzo beans
Instructions
Heat butter, add onion, cloves, cinnamon, and bay leaves. Cook until onions are browned. Add everything else, in order. Simmer 30 minutes. Optional: add cashews or chicken…
