Collard Greens - TastyPlanner.com

Always serve this with New Year’s Day dinner. Supposed to make you have a year full of green money (so they say). Hasn’t worked for me yet.
Ingredients
2 lbs collards, washed and de-stemmed
1/2 cup boiling water
3/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 Tbs margarine
Instructions
Cut up collards into bite-sized pieces. Boil collards in water with salt, covered, for 20 minutes. Drain, add pepper and margarine and serve. We always have a bottle of vinegar on hand at our table.
