This is a great dessert just in time for summer.
35 NILLA Wafers, finely crushed
1/2 stick of butter, melted
1/4 cup sugar, divided
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
2 Tbsp. lime juice
1 cup Cold Milk
2 pkg. Lemon Jell-O
2 tsp. grated lime peel
2 cups thawed whipped cream
1. Mix the wafer crumbs, margarine and 2 Tbsp. of the sugar until well blended; press firmly onto bottom of 9-inch square pan.
2. Beat the cream cheese, remaining 2 Tbsp. sugar and the lime juice with wire whisk until well blended. Spread on crust; set aside. Pour milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes and lime peel. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. (Mixture will be thick.) Gently stir in whipped topping. Spread over cream cheese layer in pan.
3. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until set. Cut into 24 bars to serve. Store leftover bars in refrigerator.
