Easy Lasagne Bake - TastyPlanner.com

I had picked up a couple of jars of sauce to use up some of the ingredients we had around the house. It was so simple to throw together, but the ambitious might choose to make their own sauces.
Recipe Source: Inspired by Speedy Lasagne ...
Ingredients
250 g mince / ground beef
1 small onion
1/2 large jar tomato-based pasta sauce (I used Dolmio Vine-Ripened Tomato)
7-10 fresh basil leaves, chopped (optional)
1/2 large jar bechamel sauce (I used Dolmio)
200 g 3-colour spiral pasta, cooked according to directions
150 g ricotta cheese, crumbled
1 cup mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to 230°C / 450°F. While pasta is cooking, brown mince and onion together until beef is no longer pink. Add tomato sauce and basil and heat.
Put drained pasta in 9×9 square baking dish, lined with baking paper if desired. Sprinkle crumbled ricotta over pasta. Spoon tomato-beef mixture over pasta. Spoon bechamel sauce over tomato-beef mixture. Sprinkle mozzarella on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for a further 10 minutes or until top is golden and bubbly. I actually switched my oven to grill in order to get a nice browned crust.

We enjoyed this one so much, and since we had the remainder of the two jars of sauce left, we made it again tonight with a few minor changes.
I threw in some mushrooms with the beef, which was nice. Capsicum might be nice too. We didn’t have much ricotta left, so it could be optional if you have cheese for the top. And then I forgot to put foil on it at all, and it browned nicely in the 15 minutes… so I’d probably skip that altogether from now on.
