Onion soup with sage and cheddar
Ingredients
butter or becel
olive oil
sage leaves
3 Cloves of Garlic
2 red onions peeled and sliced
1 large white onions
1 banana shallots peeled and sliced
5 ounce leaks, trimmed, washed and sliced
sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 quart chciken stock
4 slices of thick stale bread
3 ounces grade cheese
Instructions
Put butter, olive oil, sage and garlic into pan
Stir and add onions, shallots and leeks
Season with salt and pepper
Cover and cook slowly
Bring to a boil
Toast and add cheese
