Great fudge recipe.
3 cups sugar
1 1/2 sticks of butter (or margarine)
1 can (5oz.) evaporated milk
12 squares semi-sweet baking chocolate ; chopped
1 jar (7oz.) marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped nuts (any kind you desire)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Place sugar, butter and evaporated milk in sauce pan. Bring to a boil on medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil about 4 minutes (or until candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees), stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat.
Add chocolate and marshmallow creme; stir until melted. Add nuts and vanilla; mix well. Pour immediately into foil-lined 9 inch square pan. Spread evenly to cover bottom of pan. Cool at least 4 hours; cut into 1 inch squares. Store in airtight container at room temperature. Makes 3 lbs.
