Fettuccine Alfredo - TastyPlanner.com
This is the only recipe for Alfredo Sauce that has consistently and reliably turned out. Bonus – it’s super easy!
1/2 Cup butter
8 oz cream cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups milk
6 oz parmesan, freshly grated
1/8 tsp black pepper
1 lb Fettuccine noodles
Prepare Fettuccine according to package instructions.
Meanwhile, melt Butter in a heavy-bottomed sauce pan over medium-low heat. Add Cream Cheese, whisking to melt and combine. Once smooth, add garlic.
Whisk in Milk in very small batches, whisking with each addition until smooth. Add Parmesan and Pepper, stirring over medium-low heat until desired consistency is achieved – only add last 1/2 cup of milk if sauce is too thick.
Serve noodles with sauce over top. Grilled or Shredded Rotisserie Chicken can be added if desired.
