Grandma Kadlec's Potato Balls - TastyPlanner.com
Chef: Warmfeather
My grandma makes these for special occasions. They are super cheap, super easy and super yummy.
Eat plain, or with gravy. Can also chop up and eat with bacon grease poured over them, or chopped up and fried with some butter(earth balance for vegan) and onions. They are rather bland by themselves so they do need to be dressed up! Not the healthiest, but that’s why they are for special occasions!
Note: grandma says to boil the potatoes whole with skins on, then peel off skins. I peel them, cut them up then boil them and they still come out great.
Ingredients
1 cup boiled potatoes, mashed(NOTHING added!)
1 cup flour
water for boiling
Instructions
mix well the flour and potatoes together. seperate into 4 parts, and make balls out of each part. Balls should be 3-4 inches in diameter. Drop balls into boiling water, and boil until balls float to the top.
Should make about 4 balls
