Herbed Pork Chops in Wine - TastyPlanner.com
Chef: Debra
Good!
Recipe Source: The New Double Day Cookbook
Ingredients
1/4 cup butter
4 pork chops
1/4 tsp powdered rosemary
1/4 tsp sage
1 crushed clove garlic
1/2 cup dry white wine
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Rub chops with mixture of rosemary, sage and garlic and let stand at room temperature for at least 15 minutes. (I have done this the night before and put them in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator.) Heat butter to medium and brown chops. Remove chops from pan and season with salt and pepper. Add wine to pan drippings to deglaze and return pork chops to pan. Cover and simmer 50-60 minutes. Transfer meat to platter and keep warm. Reduce pan juices to half. Spoon over meat and serve.
