Makes 300 mL/ Keeps for 3 days in fridge All natural! I try to eat as many whole-food recipes I can find. This is a great alternative to high-calorie ketchup.
6 ripe tomatoes, quartered
1 red pepper, deseeded and chopped
1 small red onion, peeled and chopped
1 garlic clove, peeled and finely chopped
3 tbsp cider vinegar (or brown rice vinegar)
1/2 tsp molasses
Place all ing in a medium-sized saucepan and cook over a medium heat for 40 minutes
Remove from the heat and cool for a few minutes. Blend in a food processor or hand-held blender
Allow to cool then transfer to a bowl. Cover and chill until required.
