Hot Chili Pepper Chicken - TastyPlanner.com
Chef: Ksendhil
Easy to make, authentic South Indian dish for the brave who crave for something very very hot. Caution: Extremely hot!
Ingredients
1 pound chicken
1/2 pound green chili pepper
1 tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup chicken broth
Instructions
Preparation:
Buy whole chicken and cut into small pieces. Measure about 1 lb, and set aside the rest for next time or another dish. Could use chicken breast too, but recommend the whole chicken for best taste. Wash the cut chicken pieces with about 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder (sprinkle turmeric powder, mix then rinse).
Cut the chili peppers into two pieces lengthwise – this will get the seeds out, which makes it hot. Set aside.
Let’s start cooking:
Heat the olive oil on a large skillet. When hot, add the chicken and chicken broth. Cook for about 10 minutes stirring occasionaly. Then add the chili peppers. Add the remaining turmeric powder and salt to taste. The chicken should be cooked after another 10 minutes (20 minutes total). Taste and cook some more if necessary. Sevre with boiled rice.
