A hot spiced ale made with apples and dark beer.

Serves: 4
Ingredients
3 apples, peeled and chopped
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
12 ounces each) dark beer
.5 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place apples in baking dish and dot with butter. Bake 30 minutes.
In a large saucepan, combine apples, beer, brown sugar, and spices. Cook, stirring occasionally, over medium-low heat until heated through. Serve warm.
