A delicious surprise pie I found in a church cookbook.
Ingredients
1 8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 t vanilla
1 9-in. unbaked pie crust
1 c pecan halves
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/4 c sugar
2/3 C Dark corn syrup
1/4 t maple flavoring
1/4 t vanilla
Instructions
In small mixer bowl, combine first 4 ingredient. Beat till mixture is light and fluffy. Spread over bottom of unbaked pie shell. Arrange pecan halves atop the whipped cheese mixture.
In bowl, combine rest of ingredients; mix well. Carefully pour over pecans. Bake in a 375 oven for 40-45 min, or until done.
