No Lettuce Salad - TastyPlanner.com
Did you know that lettuce has very little nutritional value? On the other hand, broccoli has tons of vitamins and nutrients. This is my version of a salad.
1 head of broccoli
1 head of cauliflower
1 medium cucumber
1 bag of kale
2 green peppers
1 bag of mini carrots
1 bag/box of fresh pea pods (or defrosted frozen peas)
1 box of cherry tomatoes (or sliced regular tomatoes)
1 jar sliced olives
1 bag pre-cooked, pre-cut chicken
Instructions1. Wash all veggies if they are not pre-washed. 2. Slice the cucumber into thin circles. 3. Slice the tomatoes if needed. 4. Cut the broccoli and cauliflower if you did not get pre-cut. 5. Slice the green pepper into half inch chunks. 6. Run a knife through the kale. 7. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and toss.
