1 ready made pie crust or frozen pie shell
12 slices of bacon, crispy cooked and crumbled
1 cup shredded natural swiss cheese or mild cheddar
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
2 cups whipping cream
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 box of frozen chopped spinach
Heat oven to 350. Let pie sheet stand at room temperature before preparing recipe. Frozen pie shell and spinach need to be completely thawed before making Quiche. Mix all ingredients together. Pour into pie plate or shell. Bake 45 min to 1 hour. Insert knife to check for doneness. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
Chicken Quiche: Substitute 1 cup cut up cooked chicken to replace the bacon and 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves for red pepper. Increase salt to 1 teaspoon.
