One of my Gran’s recipes. Dad says it was the name of the biscuits it was originally made with – digestives are fine though. It is extremely tasty, and just the right texture!
It should be kept refrigerated, or it gets a bit soft. You could also put stuff on top if you like – chocolate, or perhaps butter icing if that’s your thing. I prefer it unadorned.

Ingredients
½ lb margarine
6 oz sugar
2 heaped tsp. cocoa powder
2 beaten egg
1 lb crushed digestive biscuits (~ 1 large packet)
Instructions
• Mix the margarine, sugar, cocoa powder and egg in a saucepan over a very low heat until it’s all melted, stirring constantly.
• Add the crushed biscuit and mix well.
• Spread into a medium sized greased tin and leave to cool.
