can prepare ahead of time
1/2 teaspoons vinegar
Fill a large skillet with water to within 1-inch of the top. Bring water to a boil, add vinegar, then reduce heat so the liquid is just barely simmering.
Crack each egg into a separate small, heat-proof bowl or cup. Partially submerge the container in the liquid and very gently tip the egg into the water. Repeat with remaining eggs.
Cover skillet and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, then carefully remove each egg with a slotted spoon.
