Slow Cooker Jambalaya - TastyPlanner.com

A simple dish. Throw it in a slow cooker and go about your day.
Ingredients
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 1 inch cubes
1 pound Andouille sausage, sliced
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes with juice
1 large onion, chopped
1 large bell pepper, chopped
1+ cup chopped celery
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or less if you don't like hot)
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 cup long grain white rice
1 pound raw shrimp without shells (I like leaving the tails on).
Instructions
Put all except the rice and srimp in a slow cooker on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
An hour or so before you are ready to serve add the rice and turn the temp up to to high. You MAY need to add a bit of liquid as the rice starts absorbing it.
5-10 minutes before serving add the srimp and make sure they are submerged.
Serve with sour cream.
