Slow Cooker Lamb & Barley Stew - TastyPlanner.com

Ingredients
225g stewing lamb
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
half an onion, chopped
225g carrots, sliced
1 tablespoon of pearl barley
~500ml of lamb stock
pinch of dried thyme
salt and pepper
cabbage and potatoes to serve
Instructions
• Put the vegetables, then barley then meat in the slow cooker.
• Season, add the thyme, and pour the stock over so the meat is completely covered.
• Cover and cook on low setting all day.
Serve with potatoes and cabbage (however you want to cook them!).
