Soft Pretzels - TastyPlanner.com

Delicious snack! Dip in cheese sauce, or my delicious pizza sauce.
Ingredients
1 1/2 tsp yeast
3/4 cup warm water
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp sugar
2 cups flour
1 egg, beaten
Instructions
Heat oven to 425 degrees; lightly grease baking sheet
In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add salt, sugar, and flour. Mix until well blended.
Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Add extra flour if dough is sticky.
Cut dough into 8-10 equal pieces and roll into long ropes about 12" long. Twist each into a pretzel shape.
Brush each pretzel with beaten egg and sprinkle with Kosher salt (to taste).
Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
