Ingredients
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cup Rice
1 onion, chopped finely
4 celery stalks, chopped thinly
2 carrots, nearly minced
2 cloves garlic, through a press or minced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp Cumin
1 tbsp tomato bouillon
1 can of tomato sauce
4 cup hot water
Instructions
In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat and add in the rice. cook the grains until browned. Add in vegetables, cook and mix constantly until the onions are mostly cooked. Add spices, tomato sauce and cook until a paste consistency is achieved. Then add water just before the tomato sauce begins to burn. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 20 minutes. Don’t open the lid!
