Ingredients
1 lb NY Strip Steak, cut in half for two 8 oz steaks.
2 potatoes
2 Crowns Broccoli
1 tbsp butter
Salt, Pepper, Granulated Garlic
Instructions
The largest portion of the cook time is for the potatoes.
Preheat your oven to 350.
Scrub the outsides of the potatoes, poke a few holes in them and toss them in the nuker for 3 minutes, then transfer to the hot oven. They need to be in there for about 1 hour, they’re done when you can pass a butter knife through them without resistance(except for the skin of course)
The steak and broccoli only take about 20 minutes, so start accordingly.
Cut the crowns of the broccoli and slice the stocks into little ovals by cutting it on the diagonal. toss all of it into a glass bowl(or something else microwave safe) and sprinkle with a bit of salt, and cover with saran wrap. Toss it into the microwave and set it for 5 minutes, but don’t start it yet.
Now the Steak, sprinkle both sides with salt, pepper and garlic. don’t be afraid of the salt, it makes the yummy come.
A cast iron pan is the best, but if you don’t have one, any frypan will do. set the stove to med-high, and go once around the pan with a light oil, olive or canola. set in your steaks, do 2 minutes on each side, then 1 minute on each of the edges, then back on the first side to add the butter to the pan. spoon the melted butter over the steak, turn it to get the other side, then transfer to the 350 oven and start the microwave. when it’s 5 minutes are up, remove the steak from the oven and transfer it to a plate and cover it to rest. Shake the broccoli to mix it up and give it 3 more minutes in the nuker.
All is done, Plate and Serve and Enjoy.
