Taco Soup - TastyPlanner.com

This is a variation of the Weight-watchers taco soup. I substitute ground turkey for ground extra lean hamburger meat or shredded chicken, though. It is one of my family’s favorite dishes!
1 pound of meat (ground turkey, beef, or chicken to shred)
16 oz I think smallest one)
1/2 onion chopped
1 can whole original tomatoes
1 can whole Mexican tomatoes (or Italian if they are out or Mexican)
1 can whole kernel corn
2 cans Chili beans (I use mild-your choice)
1 bag tortilla chips
1 bag fat free shredded cheddar cheese
1. Brown meat.
2. Add chopped onion (if desired) and ranch and taco seasonings.
3. In soup pot, add tomatoes, corn, and beans.
4. Add meat to mixture and stir-cooking for about 10-15 minutes.
5. Once in serving bowl, add shredded cheddar cheese to taste and serve with tortilla chips.
