Figs cooked in syrup
Ingredients
14 – Oz pack of Figs
1 ¼ - Cup Sugar
2 – TBS Karo Syrup – White
1 – TBS Molasses
1 – TBS Anis seed – Crushed
1 – Tsp Anis Extract
¼ - Tsp salt
Instructions
1) Wash and cut figs into small pieces.
2) Boil figs for 15 minutes then rinse under cold water.
3) In a pot add figs, 1 cup water and all the other ingredients.
4) Cook until thick as jam.
Note: You can add nuts if desired.
