Turkey and Chourizo Chili - TastyPlanner.com

Thick, meaty chili – spicy as you want it to be.
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large sweet onion (finely chopped)
4 celery hearts (finely chopped)
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 poblano pepper (chopped)
2 jalapeno pepper (chopped)
1 lb ground turkey
2 large links Chourizo (casing removed)
2 tbs chili powder
1 tbs cumin
1 tbs onion powder
1 tbs garlic powder
2 cups chicken broth
1 large can chopped tomatoes (fire roasted)
1 med can diced tomatoes (fire roasted)
1 tbs cilantro
1 tsp Hot sauce (to taste)
1 small can sliced jalapeno wheels
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Sweat onions, celery and salt in olive oil until translucent
Chop peppers and add, cook for 5 minutes
Add turkey and chourizo with next 4 ingredients. Cook until browned.
Add broth, tomatoes and cilantro.
Add hot sauce to taste.
Bring to a boil and simmer uncovered for 60+ minutes (until desired thickness is reached).
Add jalapeno (with or without juice)
Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with Sour Cream.
