Wisconsin Trio Fondue - TastyPlanner.com
Delicious cheese fondue inspired by recipe from the Melting Pot.
1 cup of white wine
1/2 Pound of fontina
1/2 Pound of Butterkase
2 ounces of buttermilk Blue cheese
1/2 small shallot, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 spring of scallions, chopped
1 ounce of cornstarch
Shred fontina and buttersake toss in large bowl with corn starch.
Gently simmer the wine, add the garlic and shallots.
Add cheese half cup at a time and stir until it is completely melted. Repeat until all the cheese is melted. Lower the heat and add the blue cheese.
Of the head stir in the scallions move cheese to fondue serving platter over a small flame.
Dipping suggestions: Cubed french or pumpernickel bread, green apples, carrots, celery and cauliflower.
